Billiard Gloves

Billiard gloves are fingerless gloves worn primarily by pool and snooker players to enhance grip and consistency on their shooting hand. They provide traction, moisture wicking, and protection against sweat and oils.

A good billiard glove increases control over your cue by providing a tacky, non-slip surface. It prevents your grip hand from becoming sweaty or slippery, which can negatively impact shot accuracy and cue action.

Common materials include soft, absorbent fabrics like cotton, microfiber, or chamois leather for the palm side. The back may use breathable mesh, nylon or spandex for flexibility. Silicone printed patterns add extra grip.

Measure the circumference around the fullest part of your open grip hand, excluding the thumb. Most manufacturers provide sizing charts to find a snug but not restrictive fit.

For most right-handed players, the glove is worn on the left bridge hand. This keeps the cue grip dry and provides traction for a smooth, controlled stroke. Left-handers reverse this.

Some players feel gloves inhibit their stroke feel and feedback from the cue. Thick or overgrip models can reduce wrist flexibility. New gloves may take some time to properly break in.
